Handheld Android terminal with a built-in printer, scanner and LTE.
Overview
A full point-of-sale in one hand: 5.99" touchscreen, thermal receipt printer, 1D/2D barcode scanning and 4G LTE alongside Wi-Fi, so it keeps taking payments wherever the sale happens.
The Clover Flex 4 is a handheld Android terminal that works as a complete point of sale rather than a card reader attached to one. It has its own 5.99-inch touchscreen, thermal receipt printer, camera-based barcode scanner and battery, and it connects over Wi-Fi or 4G LTE, so it does not depend on a nearby till or a tethered phone to finish a sale.
It suits businesses where the payment happens away from a fixed counter. Restaurants and cafes use it for tableside ordering and payment; salons and clinics take payment in the treatment room; market traders, food trucks, delivery rounds and pop-ups rely on the LTE connection where there is no fixed network. It is equally usable as a compact countertop terminal on its charging cradle, which makes it a reasonable single choice for a business that needs both.
Payment acceptance covers swipe, chip and contactless, including mobile wallets, and the device carries PCI PTS 6.x with EMV contact and contactless certification. The built-in scanner reads 1D and 2D barcodes, which is what makes stock counting and barcoded checkout practical without buying a separate scanner. Accessibility is provided for: a tactile PIN pad accessory, passive stylus support, volume control and voice guidance through the audio jack.
A few things depend on your account rather than the hardware, and we confirm them with you during setup: which Clover software plan the device runs and therefore which apps and features are available, whether LTE is included and on what data terms, and which accessories ship with the unit for your configuration. Clover hardware requires a merchant processing agreement, so the terminal is provisioned to your account rather than bought and used independently.
